Young Wolves 25 / TEKHNÉ – Sound Sessions

The Young Wolves Festival has been held annually since 2014 by the Academy of Art in Szczecin. Based on an open call for submissions, it has gained recognition as one of the most important showcases of emerging art in Poland. The Jury reviews the applications from individuals or artistic collectives (students of Polish art universities) and selects the best entries which are then featured at a group show. The authors of the awarded projects come to Szczecin to participate in the Festival events. Aside from the competitive aspect, the Young Wolves Festival thus serves as a space for interaction for the youngest generation of artists – a forum through which contemporary art students and invited guests can exchange their knowledge and experience. It provides a platform in which significant contemporary artistic, social, and political issues are critically and constructively examined within the context of an actual in-person meeting. Young Wolves Festival supports emerging artists who are at the early stages of their careers. It is an opportunity for them to gain visibility and become part of a wider artistic landscape. A number of participants of the previous editions of the Festival are now renowned artists, including: Jana Shostak, Grażyna Monika Olszewska, Adelina Cimochowicz, Bartosz Zaskórski, Marta Krześlak or Horacy Muszyński.
