Passepartout Duo residency report
Pianist Nicoletta Favari and percussionist Christopher Salvito are the first TEKHNÉ artists in residence TRAFO has had a pleasure to host in 2024.
Working together as Passepartout Duo, they investigated the way in which we listen to and connect with sound. Reassessing the tools they use to create their music, the duo is continually developing a specialized and evolving ecosystem of handmade musical instruments that have ranged from analog electronic circuits and conventional percussion, to room-size textile installations and found objects.
During their stay at TRAFO from April 7 until April 24, 2024, they gave a concert (April 17) and collaborated with local community and art students during open workshops on April 22 & 23.
